The first time I rode an Indian Scout motorcycle, through the two-wheeler’s paradise that is southwestern South Dakota, I was pretty damn blown away by the combo of power, speed and style that an entry-level cruiser could deliver. I’m not alone, as Indian’s best-selling bike has helped the brand more than sextuple its global market share over the past decade, to 13 percent.

Perhaps that overwhelming success is part of the reason Indian has been so hesitant to tinker with the formula. While the brand has rolled out various versions of the bike — including the Scout Bobber Sixty and Scout Rogue — we have not seen a major reload in years. Until today, in the splashiest possible way.
That’s because Indian has announced five new-and-improved Indian Scout models, along with three different trim levels and a host of accessories for the best possible ride, at a price that (hopefully) won’t crush your dreams. Here’s everything you need to know.
What’s Different About the New Scouts?
The five 2025 models are the Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Scout Classic, Super Scout and 101 Scout, and while each has its own unique properties, some outstanding qualities unite them.
Aiming to be the leader in the midsize cruiser segment, Indian focused on maintaining the Scout’s iconic style, providing a balance of power and control and introducing rider-centric tech. The result is a line of bikes the brand believes just about anyone — including beginners and shorter riders — can have an absolute blast riding.

“We knew it was going to be an exercise in the fine art of evolution, not revolution,” says Ola Stenegard, Indian’s director of product design. “We changed everything, but we changed it to make it better.”
Toward that end, the new bikes boast accessible seat heights (generally 25.7 inches) and narrow standover widths, user-friendly mid controls and standard ABS. Wrapped into a new steel tube frame, they’re about 10 pounds lighter than their predecessors, and more powerful too: A new 1250cc liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine, the SpeedPlus 1250, delivers 11 percent more power and 14 percent more torque.
(While most of the bikes boast 105 horsepower, the top-of-the-line 101’s engine has been tuned up to 111. Available only at the highest trim level, the 101’s features are pretty much maxed out, making it the bike we are most stoked to test ride.)
These advancements do not appear to come at the expense of style, something Stenegard stresses.
“It’s very easy to make things complicated, especially with modern technology,” says Stenegard. “It takes a tremendous amount of work to keep things simple.”
You’ll see consistent, classic lines carried throughout the different versions of the bike, aggressive angles and powerful contours that are not without purpose. Still, the brand left room for personalization and customization, offering more than 100 accessories that should fit seamlessly with each silhouette.
What’s the Story With the Trim Levels?

Recognizing that not everyone’s needs — and budgets — are the same, Indian is introducing three different trim levels to the line. Caveat emptor: Once you start adding options and accessories, these bikes can get pricey fast.
The most stripped-down and affordable trim is Standard, which includes ABS, new LED lighting and an analog gauge with new fuel level and fuel economy readouts.
Next up is Limited, which adds premium badging and additional technology, including traction control, cruise control, a USB charger and three selectable ride modes: Sport, Standard and Tour.
At the top of the line you’ll find Limited +Tech, which includes everything mentioned above plus push-button, keyless ignition and a 4-inch round touchscreen display featuring Indian’s Ride Command navigation, plus weather and traffic overlays, configurable gauges, ride stats and more.
As alluded to earlier, this third trim level is actually standard for the 101 Scout model — as well as the Super Scout — and an optional upgrade for the three others.
What Stands Out About the Five 2025 Models?

Each of the five models has its own unique personality — and price. While the engine, transmission and other major traits stay the same, they differ when it comes to a number of other specs, including weight and seat height, not to mention style and, well, vibe.
“We are absolutely obsessed with the details,” says Stenegard. “We do everything we can to make it look nice and tidy and clean and have all of those signs of craftsmanship woven into it.”
Below you can see each bike in the wild, along with a few notes on distinguishing features.
2025 Indian Scout Bobber

With a solo seat, chopped fenders, a slammed two-inch suspension and headlight nacelle, this bike exudes raw bobber style. The blacked-out color scheme, low stance and bar-end mirrors round out a streamlined package ideal for hard, aggressive riding.
